SUMMARY:
Well known medical equipment supplier, based in Edenvale / Modderfontein is looking for a Medical Accounts Administrator for a 1 year fixed term contract. Individuals who apply must be available to start immediately. Valid drivers license and own transport is essential.
POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the Role
The Medical Accounts Administrator is responsible for processing medical invoices / billing and related documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and service level agreements. This role ensures timely, compliant, and efficient handling of patient or client data while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric and Finance / Accounting / Business Admin Certificate / Diploma or similar
Minimum 2 years accounts / finance / invoicing or billing experience
MS Office, especially Excel skills
Strong administrative skills
Own Transport Is Essential
Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Duties
Capture, review and process invoices and medical claims, records, or authorizations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Verify patient, provider, and medical aid/insurance information
Ensure all documentation meets compliance, regulatory, and internal quality standards
Liaise with healthcare providers / hospitals, insurers and internal departments to resolve queries or discrepancies
Maintain and update patient or client records in relevant systems
Monitor workflow queues and meet turnaround times and productivity targets
Generate reports and maintain processing logs as required
Handle confidential medical information in line with data protection regulations
