We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) in Dakar, Senegal
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a CCPP
- Fluent in English (Mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of turbomachinery, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
- Experience with alignment, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring techniques.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
- Strong adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Description
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, including gas & steam turbines, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and valves.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and propose effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Support plant overhauls, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize plant performance.
