Math/Reading Paraprofessionals for the 2025-2027 School Year Jobs in Hialeah Gardens, FL at Mater Academy Charter Middle High School
Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School, an “A”-rated, college-preparatory public charter school in Miami-Dade County, is seeking dynamic, innovative, and knowledgeable Math and Reading Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
Paraprofessionals play a vital role in supporting student achievement by working closely with teachers, providing instructional assistance, facilitating small-group interventions, and helping create a positive learning environment for students in grades 6–12.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits completed (required)
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Ability to work effectively with students in grades 6–12
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and grade-level teams
- Previous experience working with students preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with instructional support and classroom management
- Provide small-group and individualized intervention in Math or Reading/ELA
- Support students in developing academic skills and achieving learning goals
- Assist with the implementation of instructional strategies and activities
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success
- Perform other instructional support duties as assigned
