Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials management and a strong understanding of supply chain processes. The Material Handler will be responsible for handling, storing, and distributing materials to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
– Receive, inspect, and store materials in designated areas – Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials – Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials within the warehouse – Pick and pack materials according to customer orders – Load and unload materials onto trucks for delivery – Ensure materials are stored in a safe and organized manner – Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages – Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials – Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment – Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or equivalent – Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations – Forklift certification is preferred – Strong understanding of supply chain processes – Excellent organizational and time management skills – Ability to lift and move heavy materials – Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other computer programs – Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Excellent communication and teamwork skills Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cape Town, South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
