We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Material Handler to join our team in Durban, South Africa. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
– Receive, store, and distribute materials according to company procedures – Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects – Accurately record and maintain inventory levels – Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the facility – Load and unload trucks and containers – Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area – Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production areas – Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues – Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent – Minimum of 2 years of experience in a material handling or warehouse role – Valid forklift operator certification – Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for material handling – Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds – Strong attention to detail and organizational skills – Excellent communication and teamwork abilities – Proficient in basic computer skills – Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed We
