About our client Our client is a luxury adventure travel company operating exclusive expeditions from Cape Town. They’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to be the operational backbone of their marketing team. You’ll handle social media, campaign support, content scheduling, and day-to-day admin — working closely with the Brand Lead to ensure all output meets premium brand standards. This is a junior role, but an active one.
The right candidate will be organised, reliable, and have a genuine feel for luxury brands.
What the job involves
- Scheduling and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, and You Tube for multiple brands
- Drafting captions and copy for review and approval before publishing
- Monitoring comments, messages, and community engagement daily
- Maintaining the content calendar in coordination with the Marketing Manager and Brand Lead
- Logging and tracking collaboration requests (press, influencers, photographers) for monthly review
- Coordinating with on-ice teams and photographers to source content from Antarctica during the season
- Supporting campaign delivery — tracking tasks, chasing assets, meeting deadlines
- Assisting with email marketing — scheduling sends, maintaining list hygiene, pulling performance data
- Making website content updates (copy changes, image swaps, itinerary updates)
- Maintaining the marketing asset library — organised, tagged, and current
- Monitoring the marketing inbox for press and media enquiries
- Assisting in assembling press packs and providing logistical support for journalist engagements
- Maintaining the master marketing calendar and tracking approvals across campaigns
- Pulling and compiling monthly social media and email performance data
- Preparing summary reports and flagging trends or underperformance
What you need to be considered
- 2–3 years’ experience in a marketing, communications, or content coordination role
- Confident written English — clear, accurate, and adaptable in tone
- Hands-on experience managing social media accounts professionally
- Strong organisational skills and reliable attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines without dropping the ball
- Familiarity with social scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)
- Basic experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar)
Bonus points if you
- Have exposure to luxury, travel, hospitality, or premium lifestyle brands
- Have experience with CMS platforms (Webflow, Word Press, or similar)
- Have Canva or basic Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Have an interest in adventure, exploration, or the natural world
