Role Overview
The Marketing Assistant plays a key support role within the Marketing function, assisting with the execution of marketing initiatives across digital, design, campaigns, events, and internal communications. The role is hands‑on and delivery‑focused, contributing to the creation of engaging content, consistent brand representation, and the smooth coordination of marketing activities. Working closely with the Marketing Executive and internal stakeholders, the Marketing Assistant helps ensure that marketing outputs are professional, on‑brand, and delivered on time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Social Media & Digital Content
- Manage and maintain Reflex’s social media presence across relevant platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others as required.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging, brand‑aligned content tailored to each platform.
- Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor engagement and performance metrics, assisting with reporting on campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Stay informed on social media trends, platform updates, and digital marketing best practices.
Marketing Content and Materials
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, email campaigns, and digital assets.
- Write, edit, and proofread marketing copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand tone and messaging.
- Assist with basic visual content creation and ensure all materials comply with Reflex brand guidelines.
Campaign & Event Support
- Support the coordination and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Assist with planning, promotion, and delivery of events such as trade shows, product launches, and internal initiatives.
- Ensure campaign and event materials are delivered on time and aligned with marketing objectives.
Internal Communications
- Support internal communication initiatives in collaboration with HR, leadership, and other internal stakeholders.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of internal communications, including staff announcements, internal campaigns, and company updates.
- Ensure that internal messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Reflex’s values and brand tone.
- Provide support for internal engagement initiatives and events.
Product & Marketing Support
- Support the rollout of new products and services by assisting with the preparation of marketing content and promotional materials.
- Assist with the distribution of marketing content and follow‑up activities that support campaigns and lead generation efforts.
Reporting, Research & Administration
- Provide administrative support for marketing systems and campaigns.
- Ensure that all marketing outputs meet and align with Reflex’s brand identity and quality standards.
Education, Experience & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
- National senior certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing or similar role.
- Experience in a B2C environment (B2B exposure advantageous).
Technical Skills
- Social media content creation, scheduling, and basic analytics.
- Fundamental graphic design and visual storytelling skills.
- Copywriting, editing, and proofreading capabilities.
- Event coordination and campaign support experience.
Systems / Software Knowledge
- Design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) or Google Workspace.
