Position Summary
Market Analyst Pricing – Johannesburg, South Africa. High‑performing commercial strategist with deep regional logistics and supply‑chain experience, leading price strategy and market expansion for the MEA region.
Responsibilities
- Design and drive visibility into commercial and pricing strategies critical to business decision‑making and strategic planning in the MEA region.
- Lead regional commercial projects, provide in‑depth analysis, and develop actionable insights to achieve regional and corporate goals.
- Support and execute revenue‑management strategies, pricing programs, and go‑to‑market initiatives to drive market share and profitability.
- Conduct customer and market analyses, and pricing assessments for new products/services.
- Identify revenue and growth opportunities through strategic data‑driven insights.
- Research, extract, and analyze complex datasets to support decision‑making.
- Develop reports with actionable recommendations and present them to stakeholders.
- Enhance customer experience by creating customized pricing strategies for strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to onboard larger strategic opportunities and optimize flight capacity.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic commercial projects across MEA markets.
- Track, monitor, and provide progress updates on various projects to regional and local management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; preference for Finance, Economics or similar.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets, analytical tools (Power BI, SQL) and the ability to communicate complex insights through reports and presentations.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with sharp business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
- Experience routing and transit optimization via regional ports and corridors (corridor management).
- Strong financial acumen to analyze impact and trends.
- Diplomacy and influence to foster transparency and gain buy‑in from stakeholders.
- Digital savvy: proficiency in leveraging AI and data analytics for automation and trend identification.
