Role Description
As a Fabrication Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between design and production, overseeing the development and execution of high-quality manufacturing processes for water treatment components and systems (pumps, piping, tanks, structures, and more). Working with metals, composites, and other materials, you'll ensure everything is built safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards — turning concepts into reliable, real-world solutions that support clean water delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing pre-build engagement and design support — including CAD drawings, 3D modeling, and drafting of fabrication components
- Producing accurate layout, piping, mechanical, and fabrication drawings + Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Assisting with materials procurement, specification verification, and supplier coordination
- Conducting site visits to verify quotations vs. actual builds, oversee installations, calibration, and system start-ups
- Collaborating on plant layouts, equipment selection, and mechanical system design (piping, pumping, water transport)
- Optimizing fabrication processes for cost/time savings, quality improvements, and production support
- Performing quality control, testing, inspections, and troubleshooting during fabrication and construction
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation across designs, processes, procurement, and project outcomes
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Experience in water treatment solutions (pumps, systems, piping, etc.) preferred, not essential.
- Solid familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Basic to strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, machining, and welding techniques
- Knowledge of quality control standards and manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety/quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills — thrive in collaborative, fast-paced settings
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on challenges
- Code 08 driver’s license and Microsoft Office proficiency
