Job Function:
To manage, lead and drive the delivery of activities, processes, and documentation for all pharmaceutical clients and stakeholders. The primary objective is to ensure the provision of high-quality services and achieve delivery satisfaction in all distribution services within the pharmaceutical sector.
Key performance areas:
- Implement and manage processes to ensure commercial value creation.
- Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, operational and compliance risks.
- Manage and maintain contract compliance, performance monitoring, renewals through effective change control and governance measures.
- Align internal and external stakeholders to ensure contract obligations are achieved.
- Drive performance improvement through contract analytics and reporting.
- Lead the end-to-end management of contracts, from drafting and negotiation through to execution, renewal, and close out.
- Maintain accurate and up to date contract records in line with business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g. SAHPRA).
- Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure contract updates where required.
- Ensure contracts meet quality assurance standards and are always audit-ready.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and compliance risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and escalation procedures.
- Implement controls to prevent compliance breaches and financial exposure.
- Collaborate on vendor qualification and due diligence processes.
- Ensure timely resolution while minimizing legal and financial exposure.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7).
Skills and experience required:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to understand how contracts impact revenue, profitability, pricing, rebates, and long-term business value.
- Ability to negotiate commercially beneficial and sustainable agreements.
- Understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment.
