Job description
The City of Holstein is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and skilled Full-Time Maintenance Worker to join our Public Works Department. This vital role keeps our community running by maintaining the infrastructure, facilities, and essential utilities that residents rely on every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain city infrastructure and services as part of the Public Works team
- Operate and maintain city equipment, including dump trucks, pickups, loaders, mowers, and tractors
- Perform duties across core city systems: street maintenance and repair, wastewater system operations, water treatment plant operations, and water distribution system upkeep
- Conduct general maintenance of city buildings, grounds, and equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in building and property maintenance preferred
- Valid Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety
