Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
Individual and Family Support Network (IFSN), has been providing support services for over 37 years to those who are actively homeless or housing insecure. Services provided range from case management, transitional housing, and rehousing, to mental health support, financial literacy, and food pantry access. These services are based in Sonoma County, but can reach to neighboring counties as well.
IFSN currently operates 14 transitional housing residences where duties would take place, as well as two sets of offices. We are looking for the right person to perform maintenance, repair, and moving tasks, and equally important, someone who is responsible, hardworking, integrable, patient, and kind, with excellent time management, direction following, and problem solving abilities.
This would be a full time position 32-40 hours per week. Monday through Friday typically, but can include weekends, early mornings, or late evenings in urgent situations.

TASKS & TYPICALY DUTIES:
- Basic Plumbing, Drywall and Carpentry
- Basic Electrical work
- Ability to use power tools safely
- Moving large furniture
- Installation of house appliances and furnishings
- Maintaining front and back yards of houses (mowing grass, using weed whacker,
- and other tools)
- Inspecting underneath houses and attics
- Removal of Pests
- Removal of Debris
- Ability to crawl into tight spaces
- Ability to climb a ladder up 16 ft.
- Ability to lift up to 60lb up and downstairs
- Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, and/or wet conditions
- Stamina to deal with long hours standing, bending, twisting, walking, etc.
- Ensure that company facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition
- Other duties as assigned
- Basic computer skills; effective communication and organizational skills
- 1-2 years of general construction/maintenance experience and/or certification pertaining to maintenance preferred
- Communicate with supervisor and other necessary staff regarding repairs, and safety concerns, etc.

- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions, and proof of current insurance
- Background Check Required – A record does not automatically disqualify, but a broader discussion would be required for consideration
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- US work authorization
