Job description Maintenance Technician Modern America Campgrounds Job Type: Full-Time (Weekends & Holidays Required) Job Overview: Modern America Campgrounds Maintenance Technician job duties include but are not limited to: Oversee the overall upkeep and functionality of the campground. This role is responsible for maintaining facilities, equipment, and the overall appearance of the resort while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in plumbing, electrical, and sewer systems, as well as experience in landscaping and operating heavy equipment. Flexibility in scheduling and availability for emergencies are a must. Key Responsibilities:  Inspect and maintain recreation facilities, buildings, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.  Maintain a detailed maintenance log for all equipment, facilities, and systems.  Assist in the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operations.  Establish and maintain contacts with local contractors to ensure prompt service when needed and compliance with company safety policies.  Maintain all park facilities, electrical, plumbing, and sewer systems to protect the owner’s capital investment.  Ensure proper storage, handling, and use of chemicals and equipment per OSHA standards.  Maintain a complete set of campground blueprints and have thorough knowledge of park infrastructure.  Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance using equipment such as zero-turn mowers and heavy machinery as needed.  Communicate and coordinate with the General Manager regarding staffing needs and operational updates.  Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements:  Must be 18 years or older.  Must have a valid driver license.  Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies.  1-4 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or related field.  Proficient in plumbing, electrical, and sewer system maintenance.  Experience with landscaping, groundskeeping, and operating heavy equipment such as zero-turn mowers, chainsaws, and weedwhackers.  Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for equipment handling.  Excellent time management and organizational skills.  Ability to regularly lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs,  Stand, walk, and work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
