Maintenance & Refurbishment Supervisor –
We are a growing property investment and refurbishment company operating across residential and commercial properties in Bloemfontein. Our core business focuses on strategically acquiring properties, managing renovations, and enhancing asset value through well-planned, cost-effective construction and refurbishment projects.
As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a hands-on and reliable Maintenance & Refurbishment Supervisor to support and coordinate on-site activities. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual looking to grow within the construction and property sector. Candidates with relevant qualifications, site experience, or exposure to contractor coordination will have an advantage.
The Role:
This role is suited to a candidate with 3–5 years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or refurbishment. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing projects, coordinating contractors, and ensuring work is completed according to plan, budget, and quality standards.
You will work closely with senior management and play a key role in day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in assessing maintenance and refurbishment requirements
· Support project planning, scheduling, and basic costing
· Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on-site
· Obtain and evaluate contractor quotations
· Monitor progress and report on project status
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
· Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety requirements, and industry standards
· Manage project documentation and reporting
· Identify cost-saving and value-enhancement opportunities
Requirements and Skills:
· Minimum 5 years in construction, maintenance, or similar field
· Willingness to be hands-on and work on-site
· Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects from start to finish
· Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building processes
· Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings
· Good understanding of budgeting, costing, and contractor management
· Strong leadership, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
· Valid driver’s licence
Advantageous (Not Mandatory):
While not required, the following will be considered strong advantages:
· Formal qualification in construction, building, or construction management
· Basic knowledge of budgeting or costing
· Experience working with contractors or small teams
· CIDB exposure and familiarity with grading and compliance
