SUMMARY:

We’re recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a high-performing manufacturing environment in Cape Town. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced production settings and takes ownership of plant reliability and performance.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine uptime through preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance. You’ll work across electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, attending to breakdowns, improving machinery, and maintaining site infrastructure.

This role requires someone who can think on their feet, respond urgently to breakdowns, and continuously drive operational efficiency across the plant.

Education:

• Trade Test: Electrician
• NTC 3 minimum
• Forklift licence advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Ability to work independently and within a team

Good communication and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to electrical, mechanical, and PLC breakdowns
• Execute preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance
• Perform shutdown and scheduled equipment maintenance
• Drive machine improvements and upgrades
• Maintain plant infrastructure including buildings and utilities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Manage maintenance-related stock and spares
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
