Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Clerk for a manufacturing facility in the Niles, IL area.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Maintenance Clerk plays a key role in supporting maintenance operations by managing inventory, coordinating parts procurement, and maintaining accurate records.

Pay:
- 2nd Shift Maintenance Clerk – $20.00 per hour
- 3rd Shift Maintenance Clerk – $21.00 per hour
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain a clean and organized storeroom
- Track and maintain accurate inventory levels using Maintimizer
- Create and close work orders with accurate labor hours, parts usage, and notes
- Source, verify, and procure maintenance parts and supplies
- Create purchase orders for maintenance, QA, sanitation, and production supplies
- Communicate with vendors for parts, services, and deliveries
- Document and submit packing slips to Accounts Payable
- Run reports as requested by management
- Report food safety and quality issues to management
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams
Requirements:
- Standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on a concrete floor for extended periods
- Must wear required PPE (hair net, bump cap, earplugs, safety shoes, uniform)
- Must be able to work weekends during peak season
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Strong technical ability to identify and source maintenance parts
- Basic understanding of mechanical terminology and equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
