Job Purpose Drive Falcon Gas LPG sales volume in an assigned territory by acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts, and developing retail and distributor relationships across residential, commercial, and small industrial markets.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Growth & Business Development
• Prospect and acquire new retail, commercial, and domestic LPG customers in an assigned territory
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts through regular visits and relationship management
• Educate customers on LPG product benefits, safety practices, and Falcon Gas offerings
• Achieve monthly and quarterly volume and revenue sales targets
• Identify and onboard new sub-distributors and retail outlets
• Monitor cylinder stock levels at customer sites and coordinate with logistics for replenishment
• Capture and report sales activities, customer feedback, and competitor intelligence via CRM
• Ensure all sales documentation (agreements, credit applications, delivery notes) is complete Account Management & Channel Development
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts through regular customer visits, relationship management, and service excellence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key customers to drive retention, repeat business, and loyalty.
• Identify, onboard, and support new sub-distributors, resellers, and retail outlets to expand market presence within the territory.
• Resolve customer queries, identify growth opportunities, and provide product and LPG safety support to maximise account and channel performance.
Operational Coordination
• Monitor cylinder stock levels and customer demand trends; liaise with logistics and operations to ensure timely replenishment and deliveries.
• Ensure all customer onboarding documentation, contracts, credit applications, and pricing approvals are completed accurately.
• Support debt collection processes by following up on overdue accounts where necessary. Brand, Safety & Compliance
• Promote LPG safety awareness and ensure customers understand safe handling and storage practices.
• Represent Falcon Gas professionally at community awareness engagements, trade activations, and customer events.
• Adhere to all company policies, ethical selling practices, and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Matric (Grade 12) minimum
• Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management advantageous
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years' external sales experience in LPG, FMCG, energy, or related sector is required and non-negotiable
• Experience in LPG, fuel, energy, FMCG, industrial products, or related industries is required
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Experience managing a geographic sales territory and customer portfolio
