Lot Attendant / Vehicle Porter – Automotive Experience Required
Ace Auto Sales is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Lot Attendant / Vehicle Porter to join our growing dealership team.
This is a hands-on position for someone with real automotive or vehicle experience who understands basic vehicle maintenance, can recognize when something does not seem right, and knows when a vehicle needs to be routed back to the shop. The right person will be comfortable working around a large inventory of vehicles, staying organized, and keeping the lot running smoothly without needing constant supervision.
Responsibilities
Daily duties may include:
- Moving, parking, and organizing vehicles on the dealership lot
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the parking lot
- Washing vehicles as needed
- Checking and filling tires as needed
- Checking fuel levels and maintaining fuel in vehicles
- Performing light interior touch-ups
- Checking basic vehicle condition, including tires, lights, fluids, batteries, warning lights, leaks, noises, and overall drivability concerns
- Identifying basic maintenance or mechanical issues
- Communicating vehicle concerns to management or routing vehicles back to the shop when needed
- Helping prepare vehicles for photos, test drives, sale, and customer delivery
- Assisting with keys, plates, stickers, and general lot organization
- Working efficiently in all outdoor weather conditions
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Automotive, mechanical, or hands-on vehicle experience required
- Must be comfortable driving and parking cars, trucks, SUVs, and larger vehicles
- Must understand basic vehicle maintenance and common warning signs
- Must be able to recognize when a vehicle needs additional shop attention
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to stay on task
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Prior dealership, shop, recon, detailing, or automotive lot experience is a plus
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working around vehicles, takes pride in keeping things organized, and understands that small details matter on a used car lot.
This person should be able to notice issues such as low tires, dead batteries, warning lights, leaks, unusual noises, smells, or anything that may need attention before a vehicle is shown, test-driven, or delivered to a customer.
About the Role
Ace Auto Sales is a fast-paced used vehicle dealership with a large inventory. This position plays an important role in keeping vehicles clean, organized, maintained, fueled, and ready for customers.
We are looking for someone reliable, mechanically inclined, and ready to be part of a busy dealership team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
