Logistics Technician
Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing the transportation of goods from suppliers to customers and site Production. This position involves coordinating shippingschedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Works closely with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performs all work in accordance with internal Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Manages the import, receipt, shipment and export of materials or finished products in Casablanca site and/or external warehouses.
- Coordinates with other departments any documentation required for the processes described.
- Plans the warehouse delivery and dispatch schedule, managing urgent requirements and capacity for shipping or accepting loads.
- Monitors shipments or acceptance of loads at Casablanca warehouses.
- Monitors urgencies and manages supplier claims.
- Contacts suppliers of materials or services in the event of discrepancies or organizational needs.
- Understands SAP processes in order to provide flexibility across regular warehouse processes.
- Reviews inventory and consistency between SAP and the Warehouse Management System.
- Documents, seeks approval and processes system adjustments and destructions, carrying out supporting investigations to facilitate the signature process.
- Performs double checks on receipt and export verifications carried out by other warehouse colleagues or subcontracted external warehouses, and checks that the documentation is correct.
- Configures and reads temperature recorders (data loggers).
- Updates inbound and outbound checking documents to adapt them to process needs.
- Maintains control books for raw materials subject to Public Administration control.
- Prepares, monitors, and maintains KPIs and publishes them on the relevant information boards.
- Monitors and maintains the warehouse training plan.
- Prepares the documentation required for import or export. This includes the necessary procedures with Tax, Customs or any regulatory agency.
- Is trained in and applies Bayer AG Export Control checks.
- Maintains regular contact with custom brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, Bayer control tower and/or service providers to ensure timely execution of import & export processes.
- Other warehouse administrative activities as required.
