Position Summary:
The Logistics and Warehouse Manager will have operational responsibility for ensuring efficient and seamless logistics and distribution supply chain operations for all finished goods across the business. This includes managing the end-to-end distribution process in a well-planned, secure, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
The role oversees activities including the clearance of goods, receipt, storage, order management, distribution to customers, transportation, and inventory control. All processes must comply with legal, regulatory, environmental, and security requirements.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee logistics and distribution operations to ensure efficient supply chain performance.
- Lead the inventory management program within the market.
- Act as the SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the P2P process, including product master data management and IDOC management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth process flow and operational efficiency.
- Manage 3PL providers and clearing & forwarding agents, including contract management and SLA tracking.
- Oversee stock count processes, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation.
- Monitor vendor invoices, conduct cross-checks, and track payments and spend.
- Manage logistics budget responsibilities including annual budget preparation, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Develop and implement logistics and supply solutions in collaboration with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to support business strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives within logistics and distribution operations.
- Lead and manage strategic projects related to network logistics changes, product change management, and logistics partner changes.
- Implement and manage robust processes for returns, recalls, and product destruction.
- Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and all applicable standards related to logistics, customs, trade, security, EHS, quality, and serialization.
- Support logistics operational optimization initiatives across the EMEA region through the Logistics Community of Practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management within a multinational organization.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous.
- Strong experience managing logistics operations and distribution networks.
- SAP implementation end-user experience is highly desirable.
- Experience managing 3PL providers and logistics partners.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Team leadership and people management experience would be advantageous.
