Introduction & Job Requirements
This is a junior all-rounder role designed for someone who is eager to learn, gain experience, and become involved across multiple lodge departments. The ideal candidate is adaptable, positive, hardworking, and willing to assist wherever operational support is needed.
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on General Lodge Assistant / All Rounder to join a welcoming and dynamic lodge team based in the beautiful Waterberg region, Limpopo. The ideal candidate is adaptable, hardworking, and enjoys variety in their daily tasks, from guest-facing duties to behind-the-scenes operational support.
This position is suited to someone who thrives in a remote environment, is eager to learn, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You will play an important role in ensuring the lodge runs efficiently by supporting housekeeping, dining services, guest hosting, maintenance, and more. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team are essential.
Candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to go the extra mile to exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest hosting and front-of-house support (20%)
- Housekeeping and room preparation (20%)
- Dining, bar, and service assistance (15%)
- Laundry and back-of-house support (15%)
- Gardening and basic maintenance support (15%)
- General lodge assistance across departments (15%)
Candidate Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- Strong and reliable employment history (references verified)
- Reliable transport plan to/from remote farm location
- Fluent in English (written and spoken – non-negotiable)
- South African citizen or valid work permit
- Hospitality/tourism qualification advantageous
- Previous lodge/hospitality experience beneficial
- Comfortable multitasking across departments
- Friendly, confident, and guest-focused personality
- Able to work in a remote environment
- Good physical stamina and willingness to learn
Salary
R7,000 per month (Depending on Experience)
