Services may include advanced diagnostics, IV therapy, hormone optimisation, metabolic and weight management, body composition analysis, and selected recovery or performance-support modalities.
Role Purpose To deliver diagnostics-led consultations and follow-up care in a premium private clinic, ensuring safe, personalised, evidence-led care and appropriate referral when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations, assessments, and follow-up reviews.
- Review blood results, biomarker panels, screening outcomes, and medical history.
- Develop personalised treatment or optimisation plans within scope.
- Support or oversee IV, metabolic, hormone, supplement, and recovery-related care where clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records, informed consent, and clear patient communication.
- Monitor progress, adjust plans, and refer appropriately when specialist or emergency care is needed.
- Contribute to a premium, discreet patient experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Current HPCSA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
- Relevant clinical experience in private practice, primary care, wellness, preventative, integrative, or longevity medicine.
- Strong consultation, assessment, record-keeping, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret bloodwork, biomarkers, screening results, and clinical history.
- Confidence working within evidence-led, patient-centred care pathways.
- Sound clinical governance, ethical judgement, and referral decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to work on a locum basis in Cape Town.
Advantageous / Desirable Experience
- Experience in a premium private healthcare environment.
- Exposure to IV therapy oversight, hormone optimisation, metabolic health, or personalised treatment planning.
- Interest in or experience with Muse Cells, Exosomes, and related emerging care areas, approached with appropriate governance and caution.
- Confidence supporting patients focused on performance, recovery, and long-term health optimisation.
Contract Type, Location, and Working Arrangement
- Contract type: Locum.
- Location: Cape Town City Bowl.
- Working arrangement: In-clinic locum/session-based cover; 5 days per week.
