JOB TITLE: Loader Operator
DEPARTMENT: Sawmill Manufacturing
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing a variety of equipment operations with the main focus being loader operator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but not limited, to the following.
· Operate articulated loader maintaining supply of raw material to sawmill and removal and placement of finished material
· Perform all daily/monthly safety inspections and safety meetings.
· Loading trucks with finished material for shipment
· Ability to process necessary paperwork involved for shipments
· Monitor waste material vans
· Ability to understand and follow LOTO procedures
· Remove debris from both inside and outside locations
· Pressure Wash miscellaneous equipment
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision
· Climb on elevated machinery.
· Ability to follow Preventative Maintenance program in place to grease, inspect, and maintain the machinery per schedules.
· Identify maintenance related issues, assist and offer solutions.
· Good organizational skills
· Ability to be Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel for daily data entry.
· Ability to be trained to run various pieces of manufacturing equipment.
· Perform frequent checks to assure machine is producing material to spec.
· Adjust machines operated to maintain spec product.
· All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School education or GED or equivalent.
Language skills: Ability to listen and/or read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to communicate issues with others.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and basic algebra.
Reasoning skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform duties in an ever changing environment.
Computer Skills: Ability to operate a proprietary computer based operating system. Ability to work with barcoding system.
Other skills and abilities: Ability to operate general business office equipment such as copier, label maker, ect. Ability to perform in a Team environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Bend, Squat/Kneel, Twist/Turn, climb, crawl, reach, handling, grasping, repetitive motion, stand, walk, sit, lift up to 100 pounds (frequently lift 30 pounds or less), push/pull up to 100 pounds, utilize hand tools such as small hand tools, power tools, drivers, and utlize forceful grip.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to an environment consistent with working outdoors in various weather conditions and in an industrial manufacturing environment. There will be wood dust, grease, and welding fumes in this job classification. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
