Job Description

Our organization is looking for a reliable and hardworking Line Cook / Junior Chef to join our kitchen team on a 3 month fixed-term contract, starting 1 July 2026.

This position is suited to someone who is passionate about food, works well under pressure, takes pride in quality, and is punctual, honest and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to standards and recipes
  • Assist with daily kitchen prep and service
  • Maintain food quality, freshness and presentation
  • Keep your section clean, organised and hygienic
  • Follow food safety and kitchen procedures
  • Work well with chefs, managers and the wider team
  • Assist with stock rotation and minimising wastage
  • Be available to work variable shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen, line cook or junior chef experience preferred
  • Must be punctual, honest and reliable
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a busy kitchen environment
  • Must take pride in food quality and cleanliness
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Must be available to start on 1 July 2026
  • Must be able to travel to the Atlantic Seaboard

Pay: From R9 500,00 per month
