Summary
Builds LED lights for the truck, trailer, marine, and RV industries in accordance with work orders.
Responsibilities
- Assembles LED light and related products according to written work instructions and work orders.
- Works on an assembly line performing repetitive tasks in conjunction with others to complete product.
- Packages completed products for shipment.
- Solders components.
- Performs tests to ensure proper functioning and quality of products.
- Uses various equipment to pot, vibration or ultrasonic weld, and package products to customer specifications.
- Ensures that the proper number of parts are produced and packaged in accordance with the work order.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures.
May be assigned additional responsibilities and duties by supervisor.
Skills and Abilities
- Requires the ability to read, write, and orally communicate with others in English.
- Requires good basic math skills (including basic addition and subtraction), and the ability to count parts accurately.
- Must be able to follow written work instructions and produce high quality parts.
- Must be versatile and able to work at a variety of workstations and operate a variety of equipment within Lighting Production.
- Soldering skills are extremely useful.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work quickly while upholding quality standards.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in assembly and operating equipment such as a vibration or sonic welder preferred.
Previous experience with soldering components strongly desired.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary to Light Work position, depending on workstation. Some workstations will be primarily seated while others will require extended periods of walking or standing.
- Occasionally requires ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Rarely requires the ability to lift boxes weighing over 20 pounds to place on cart.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to build electronic components and package products.
- Requires ability to use hand tools.
- Requires ability to perform repetitive motions.
- Requires visual acuity to build, test, and perform initial inspection of parts. Must be able to differentiate between different colors.
Work Environment
Works in a temperature-controlled environment, but work area is immediately adjacent to a non-temperature-controlled production area. Exposed to sounds and lights when testing products to ensure quality. Works in a casual dress environment, requiring eye protection and closed toe and heeled shoes.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
