Job Summary
Beckwith Counseling and Psychology Group is seeking a licensed psychologist or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) to join a growing private practice in Eastern North Carolina. The practice has an established referral base with particularly strong demand for psychological testing services across child, adolescent, and adult populations.
This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys assessment work, with psychological testing serving as the primary focus of the role, while also having the opportunity to provide therapy services depending on interest and preferred caseload balance. The role offers flexibility, strong administrative support, and the opportunity to help shape the growth of a well-established practice.
Duties
- Conduct detailed psychological assessments including diagnostic evaluations, cognitive testing, and behavioral health screenings to inform treatment planning.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused care (including PTSD), addiction counseling, and psychotherapy tailored to client needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate patient goals, clinical findings, and best practices in mental health care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and caregivers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Manage intake procedures efficiently by gathering patient histories, completing assessments, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical record standards.
- Stay current with research developments in psychology and behavioral health to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to uphold licensure requirements and expand clinical expertise.

Experience
- Valid licensure (or license-eligible in North Carolina) as a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychological Associated with demonstrated experience in psychological testing.
- Proven background working with children and families in clinical or school settings; experience with autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychological tests including diagnostic evaluations for various mental health conditions.
- Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms to reach clients remotely; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging patients of all ages and backgrounds while maintaining professionalism and empathy at all times.
Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
