A Learning & Development (L&D) Manager (Construction)
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on L&D Manager to spearhead the growth and technical excellence of our workforce. In the construction industry, our greatest asset is our people.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Needs Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across all levels, from site laborers and tradespeople to project managers and senior leadership.
- Align the L&D strategy with project pipelines and company growth objectives.
3. Compliance & Certification
- Ensure 100% compliance with mandatory industry certifications, licenses, and safety regulations.
- Maintain an airtight tracking system for CSCS cards, professional engineering credits, and heavy machinery tickets.
4. Performance & Talent Management
- Launch and manage a High-Potential (HiPo) program to fast-track internal talent into Site Manager or Project Director roles.
- Partner with HR to integrate L&D outcomes into the annual performance review process.
5. Budget & Vendor Management
- Manage the annual L&D budget, ensuring maximum ROI on external training providers and software (LMS).
- Negotiate contracts with external vocational schools and technical certification bodies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in L&D, with at least 3 years specifically within the Construction, Engineering, or Infrastructure sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction-specific workflows, safety protocols, etc.
