SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with a strong design background in large-scale industrial projects? If you have proven experience leading mechanical deliverables and ensuring compliance with engineering standards within mining or mineral processing environments, this opportunity could be the ideal next step in your career.
POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
- Provide precise mechanical design input and perform engineering calculations in line with project, client, and regulatory requirements
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, scopes, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with design intent
- Identify scope variations and prepare the necessary supporting documentation
- Ensure correctly specified mechanical equipment is sourced to meet project and operational requirements
- Deliver high-quality engineering outputs within defined budget and schedule constraints
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ post-graduate experience in a senior mechanical engineering role within heavy industrial projects
- Proven experience within mining or mineral processing environments
- Registered ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Qualification:
- Minimum B.eng or Bsc in Mechanical Engineering.
