Job Summary
KingStruction is a growing Cincinnati outdoor living construction company specializing in high-end custom decks, covered porches, roof systems, and premium outdoor structures.
Due to increased demand, we are looking for a high-level lead carpenter / deck builder with strong experience in deck framing, structural carpentry, and roof system construction.
This opportunity is open to:
- qualified full-time lead carpenters, or
- experienced 1099 subcontract carpenters seeking consistent project work.
We are not looking for general labor. We are looking for a real carpenter professional who understands quality construction, can think ahead, solve problems, and help execute projects at a high level.
Duties
- Lead and execute custom deck framing, structural layout, and installation
- Build covered porch and roof framing systems
- Install decking, railing systems, stairs, trim, and finish details
- Read plans, layouts, measurements, and project specifications accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient jobsite
- Work safely and confidently on ladders and elevated structures
- Communicate professionally with team members and management
- Help maintain production pace, craftsmanship, and company standards
- Contribute to a positive, drama-free work environment
Requirements
- Strong experience in deck building required
- Roof framing or covered structure experience strongly preferred
- Leadership mindset with ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation required (truck preferred)
- Own tools preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and organized
- Must be able-bodied and physically capable of full construction work
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Professional appearance and communication required
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
