Lost Sock Laundromat LLC is an owner-operated laundry facility in Tahoe City, California, serving both self-serve walk-in customers and commercial accounts in the hospitality and vacation rental industry. We’ve invested in professional-grade equipment — including a flatwork ironer and EcoLab chemistry — to deliver a quality of finish that sets us apart from standard laundry services. About the Role
In this position, you’ll work across three interconnected functions: operating the laundromat floor and processing commercial and residential laundry, driving pickup and delivery routes for our commercial and residential clients, and performing routine equipment maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll report directly to ownership and will be trusted to work independently, manage your time on the road, and represent Lost Sock professionally with every client interaction. A successful hire will be fluent in both English and Spanish, have a clean driving record, and pass a background check.
What You’ll Do
- Operate washers, dryers, and flatwork ironing equipment to process residential and commercial laundry loads to quality standards
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and package linens, towels, and garments for residential and commercial clients including vacation rentals and lodging properties
- Drive company vehicle on scheduled pickup and delivery routes; handle laundry with care and represent the business professionally at each stop
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment; identify and report mechanical issues before they become downtime
- Assist walk-in customers with machine operation, payments, and questions in both English and Spanish
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility; restock supplies and track inventory
- Communicate with ownership on route status, client feedback, and any operational issues
What We’re Looking For (Required)
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken; reading/writing a plus)
- Clean driving record — must pass DMV check and be insurable on company vehicle
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a warm, humid environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job right
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with commercial laundry equipment or similar industrial machinery
- Prior route driver or delivery experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment maintenance
- Experience in hospitality, vacation rental, or linen service industries

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
