In this energetic position, you will be responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other chemical treatments to lawns, landscapes, and agricultural areas. Responsibilities
- Safely operate spray equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery to apply chemicals accurately across various landscapes.
- Prepare and mix chemical solutions following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Conduct site assessments to determine appropriate treatment areas and identify pest or weed issues requiring targeted chemical applications.
- Maintain detailed records of chemical treatments performed, including locations, types of chemicals used, and application rates.
- Drive company vehicles to different job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on spray equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, storage, and disposal to protect yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, agriculture, or farming is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pest control methods and the use of pesticides or herbicides is a plus.
- Familiarity with sales techniques can be beneficial for client interactions and service upselling.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for site travel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping.
