Scope Of Work
Reference to the Corporate Job Code 436252 (Laboratory Technician) as described in the Job Code Mission: The main mission will to take samples and analysis oil, chemicals, water and other substances as necessary for the safe and efficient management of the plant and reporting.
Local Duties And Responsabilities
Sample Collection and Analysis
Take samples of crude oil, gas, glycol, and carry out analysis of produced water, injection water, heating media, cooling media, and perform gas chromatography.
Conduct Other Fluid Analyses As Required, Following Company Procedures.
Transportation and Installation
Ensure correct and safe transportation for hydrocarbon samples.
Ensure sample points are correctly installed (earth bond leads).
Equipment Calibration and Reporting
Ensure all equipment used for analysis is correctly calibrated.
Provide log taking and report writing as required.
Maintain laboratory equipment stocks at required levels.
Report any problems to the Production Supervisor.
Chemical Handling and Safety
Handle and store chemicals in a safe manner. Be aware of COSHH regulations.
Advise and assist in the provision of information interpretation of data and the assessment of hazardous substances.
Process Systems Understanding
Understand process systems.
Additional Duties
Perform other duties as directed and requested by Production. Attend Company training as defined.
Perform all emergency duties assigned to their function in response to emergencies, if applicable.
Ensure compliance with SAIPEM procedures, including the Saipem Permit to Work System.
Familiarize and comply with Company Policies, Quality, HSE, and all Procedures assigned to their title/position.
Anticipate and notice unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are taken according to procedure.
Responsible for own safety and the safety of co-workers.
Education: Bachelor degree in Chemistry
Experience: At least 3 years at this position with offshore (FPSO) experience.
