Junior Warehouse Manager Wanted!
We’re seeking a proactive Junior Warehouse Manager in Cape Town to join an amazing FMCG team and support the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse; with a key role in stock control, distribution, and operational efficiency, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in supervising and coordinating warehouse operations
- Receive, check, and accurately record incoming stock and materials
- Manage stock control processes including cycle counts, stock takes, and reconciliations
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of stock (FIFO principles)
- Coordinate picking, packing, and dispatching stock to stores on time
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, stores, and internal teams
- Support warehouse staff, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Prepare operational and stock reports for management
- Assist with cost control, audits, and compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a FMCG | bakery | hospitality environment
- Local citizens
- Proven track record with contactable references
- Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience with stock control or accounting systems
- Computer literacy is essential
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Clear criminal record (verification required)
- Must meet assessment requirements
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, public holidays, and at short notice
