Role Description
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Site Engineer) for a full-time on-site position at our locations in Cairo, Giza, Ras Shokair, and Demietta, Egypt. The role involves performing regular maintenance and repair tasks for mechanical equipment at construction sites to ensure their optimal functionality. Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and assisting with the planning and execution of mechanical engineering solutions tailored to project requirements. The role also encompasses collaborating with cross-functional Teams to maintain high operational standards.
Main responsibilities
Supervising periodic and emergency maintenance work on the company's equipment and assets.
Monitoring the operating efficiency of concrete pumps, mixers, transport vehicles, and support equipment.
Analyzing mechanical faults, identifying their causes, and developing appropriate solutions.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
Follow up on repair work and ensure it is implemented in accordance with the required technical standards.
Preparing technical reports on malfunctions, maintenance, and performance indicators.
Coordinating with various departments to ensure operational continuity and achieve the highest levels of readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical experience in the field of maintenance of heavy equipment or ready-mix concrete equipment from 1 to 3 years.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work in the field and withstand work pressures.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance Engineering, and Mechanical Maintenance
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in construction environments
