Location: Germiston
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: R 20 000
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and hands-on Junior Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Germiston. This role is ideal for a recently qualified Millwright or candidate looking to grow their technical career within maintenance and production support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification in Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronics
- Millwright Trade Test with limited or no post-qualification experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems
- Basic computer literacy
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Attend to breakdowns and equipment faults efficiently
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
- Support installation of new machinery and equipment
- Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping standards
- Minimise production downtime through effective maintenance support
- Complete maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
