Role Description This full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role is based in Nairobi. The Junior Interior Designer will support senior designers in developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards, and assisting with space planning for residential and commercial projects. Daily tasks include creating and updating construction drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and helping to ensure design solutions align with client requirements and budget. The role also involves site visits, documentation of project progress, and collaboration with architects, contractors, and suppliers to support timely and accurate project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings to support accurate documentation and coordination with project teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and coordination to ensure cohesive design solutions.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Portfolio demonstrating academic or professional interior design projects is preferred.
