Junior Graphic Designer Jobs in Cornubia Industrial at Blinds Decor & Shutters
Junior Graphic Designer position available at a large Window Blinds Manufacturer / Wholesaler based in the Mt Edgecombe / Cornubia area. Candidate must live within a 10km radius from work.
Main Duties include:
- Develop visual assets for marketing campaigns, product launches, events, and internal communication.
- Create layouts for digital newsletters, social media content, website banners, and e-commerce assets.
- Website design, development and maintenance.
- Assist with the rollout of artwork for print materials including displays, and signage.
- Adapt existing designs to various formats and platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to creative briefs.
- Manage and organise design files and ensure proper archiving of completed projects.
- Follow brand guidelines and help maintain visual consistency across all touchpoints.
- Assist with photo editing, image retouching, and basic motion or video graphics.
Criteria:
- A relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design
- 2 -3 years of professional experience (internships / freelance included).
- Bilingual: English and Afrikaans
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills across both print and digital media.
- Excellent knowledge of Graphic Design packages such as:
- Photoshop (image editing, mock-ups)
- Illustrator (logos, illustrations, vector artwork)
- InDesign (layouts for print and digital)
- After Effects / Premiere Pro (bonus for animation or video editing, even if basic.)
- Basic understanding of design for newsletters, social media and web.
- An eye for typography, colour, and composition.
- Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Strong time management and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
