About the Role
We are looking for a digitally savvy, analytical and agile junior finance professional to join our Facilities & Buildings team within a leading professional services organisation. This role supports the financial administration and reporting requirements associated with buildings, office operations, and facilities-related services.
While the role requires only basic accounting and finance capabilities, it offers meaningful exposure to operational finance in a fast‑paced, professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with facilities, finance, and internal stakeholders, and will be trusted to manage routine processes with accuracy and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track facilities-related invoices, payments, journals, and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate records of expenditure and support monthly reconciliations
- Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and actual vs budget reporting for facilities costs
- Support supplier administration, including documentation and basic compliance checks
- Prepare and submit journals and internal cost allocations where required
- Assist with petty cash and operational expense administration
- Ensure processes follow internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
- Provide ad hoc support to the Facilities & Buildings team
Skills & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance administration or junior accounting role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (payments, journals, reconciliations)
- Strong digital literacy, with confidence using financial systems and spreadsheets, and a demonstrated willingness and capability to learn and adopt workflow and automation tools
- Comfortable working with data, numbers, and reports
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
