Junior Estimator Jobs in Johannesburg at Giona Construction
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. This role is suited to a recent graduate looking to gain experience in the construction industry, with exposure to estimating, project coordination, procurement, and site support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of construction quotations
- Interpret and work with B.O.Q’s (Bills of Quantities)
- Attend site visits , take measurements when required and attend to subcontractors certificates.
- Support light project management and project coordination duties
- Process and manage material orders
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Assist with health and safety compliance processes
- Provide support to both office-based and site-based operations
- Maintain accurate records and assist with project administration
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence
- Recent college graduate, preferably with a relevant qualification
- Basic understanding of B.O.Q’s and construction processes
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a construction environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Duties will be carried out in both site-based and office-based environments
- Ability to take initiative and work as part of a team
