Description
Hire Resolve is currently assisting a well-established construction company in Cape Town in their search for a Junior Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of tender documents, quantifying materials and labor costs, preparing cost estimates, and monitoring costs throughout the duration of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
Support in managing quantity surveying tasks, including take-offs and measurements
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost control and adherence to budget
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts and progress reports
Conduct site visits and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers as required
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in quantity surveying or a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing measurements and calculations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
