Job Duties:
- Assist senior attorneys with legal research and case preparation
- Draft basic legal documents (letters, contracts, pleadings, affidavits)
- Review and summarise case files and legislation
- Assist with court filings and compliance with deadlines
- Conduct legal research using legislation and case law
- Prepare legal opinions and summaries for review
- Assist with due diligence and document review
- Communicate with courts, advocates, and opposing attorneys
- Attend consultations and court (where required)
Requirements:
- Articles completed or nearing completion (advantage)
- Basic understanding of South African law and legal procedures
- Exposure to litigation, contracts, or commercial law (advantage)
- Professional conduct and strong work ethic
