About the Role
A fast-paced US recruitment agency is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the team remotely. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly energetic, tech-forward junior accounting professional who is eager to grow in a modern, fast-moving environment.
We are looking for someone hands-on and proactive who can help clean up and reconcile prior-year books immediately, while supporting ongoing bookkeeping and accounting operations. The ideal candidate has foundational bookkeeping or accounting experience, has worked with QuickBooks, is comfortable balancing accounts, and is excited by using modern technology and AI tools to improve workflows. This role suits someone ambitious, detail-oriented, and hardworking who thrives in a high-accountability remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing, cleaning up, and reconciling historical financial records
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Maintain and balance accounts, ledgers, and financial records accurately
- Process transactions and support account reconciliations
- Assist with QuickBooks maintenance, data accuracy, and reporting
- Help identify inefficiencies and support process improvements
- Utilize AI and technology tools to improve productivity and streamline tasks
- Support the broader team with accounting-related administrative functions as needed
Requirements
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping, junior accounting, or related finance experience
- Prior hands-on experience with QuickBooks required
- Experience with account balancing and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Highly energetic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Strong technology aptitude and openness to using modern tools
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms is highly preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership
