Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Accountant located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with flexibility to perform some tasks remotely. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, assisting in financial reporting, and supporting tax preparation. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and collaborating with the finance team to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Accounting principles, General Ledger entries, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in using accounting software and financial tools
- Skills in Data Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
- Previous accounting experience or internships are an advantage
- Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in Ethiopia is a strong plus
