The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and operationally relevant reporting for travel industry professionals.
Editorial staff are expected to develop strong subject-matter expertise in their respective industries, demonstrate strong news judgement, maintain global awareness, and produce compelling lead stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily trade-focused news articles.
- Conduct interviews with industry operators and tourism boards.
- Analyse policy and regulatory developments affecting the travel sector.
- Attend industry events and press briefings.
- Deliver written work within agreed deadlines.
Requirements
- Demonstrated journalism experience with published work.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong news judgement and awareness of industry developments.
- Deadline-driven and well organised.
- Professional confidence when conducting interviews and engaging with industry stakeholders.
- Valid drivers licence and own vehicle.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be based in Johannesburg.
- Candidates should be able to travel to events and industry engagements when required
