We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Services Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination
- Operate floor buffers and other specialized equipment for floor care, including buffing, polishing, and stripping floors to maintain a professional appearance
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and hard-to-reach areas to uphold high hygiene standards
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs, replacing supplies, and ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Practice safe manual handling techniques when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture to prevent injury
- Support residential painting projects or minor touch-ups as needed to maintain facility aesthetics
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and their proper handling is essential
- Experience operating floor buffers, polishers, and other custodial equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety practices related to heavy lifting and manual handling techniques is required
- Prior involvement in facilities maintenance or porter roles demonstrates a strong understanding of building upkeep and cleanliness standards
