IT Systems Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting our cloud and on-premises infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Manage and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Configure and administer Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Storage Accounts, Azure Backup, and Azure Active Directory.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Support end-users and provide technical guidance to internal teams.
- Document infrastructure, procedures, and system configurations.
- Participate in IT projects, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and Azure Security solutions.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- CompTIA + or similar
- ITIL Foundation Certification
