IT Support Technician – Boksburg

You will play a key role in supporting and improving the organization’s technology infrastructure while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide technical support to users, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and implement updates, patches, and security measures.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and IT documentation.
- Support IT projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and migrations.
- Enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain system integrity.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Mac), Microsoft Office, and networking fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
Advantageous Skills
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft certifications).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
