IT Procurement Buyer (Junior) Jobs in Sandton at Go Rentals
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded IT Procurement Buyer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sourcing and procuring IT hardware, software, cloud solutions, and technology-related services while building and maintaining excellent supplier relationships.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident negotiating with vendors in a fast-moving IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure IT hardware, software, peripherals, licensing, cloud services, and IT-related solutions
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, proposals, and supplier pricing
- Negotiate pricing, service agreements, lead times, and supplier contracts
- Manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery follow-ups
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and technology partners
- Monitor supplier performance, pricing trends, and market availability
- Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, budgets, and operational requirements
- Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and timelines
- Assist with stock planning, supplier comparisons, and cost-saving initiatives
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in IT procurement or technology purchasing
- Good understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, and technology products
- Experience working with suppliers, distributors, and procurement systems
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Advantageous
- Experience within the IT, MSP, telecommunications, or technology sector
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management
- Experience working with ERP or procurement systems
