Our client is a fast-growing company specializing in the supply and distribution of construction materials, supported by a strong logistics and supply chain network across Tanzania. They are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead the organization's technology function, ensuring reliable IT infrastructure, robust cybersecurity, seamless business systems, and innovative digital solutions that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description
Develop and implement the company's IT strategy in line with business objectives.
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software.
Ensure the security, availability, and performance of all IT systems and business applications.
Oversee ERP, inventory, sales, and other enterprise systems to support operational efficiency.
Lead cybersecurity initiatives, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Supervise the IT team and provide technical support across all business functions.
Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, software licensing, and technology procurement.
Monitor system performance and recommend technology improvement
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT management or a senior IT leadership role.
Strong knowledge of network administration, servers, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and database management.
Experience managing ERP or enterprise business systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, virtualization technologies, and backup solutions.
Professional certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, PMP, or CISSP will be an added advantage.
