Job Summary:
The role ensures that IT hardware and software assets are properly managed throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update IT asset inventory databases to ensure accuracy.
- Track the procurement, assignment, usage, and disposal of IT assets.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, contracts, and IT policies.
- Support internal and external IT asset audits.
- Assist in managing license renewals and software usage tracking.
- Assist in IT asset procurement planning and vendor coordination.
- Monitor asset expenditures and cost allocation.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
- Track hardware warranties, repairs, and replacement cycles.
- Ensure timely hardware refresh planning based on performance and lifecycle.
- Assist in safe and compliant IT asset disposal and Generate IT asset reports for management and finance teams.
- Assist in maintaining depreciation records for IT financial planning.
- Provide support to internal users for IT asset requests and inventory management.
- Document asset management processes and best practices.
- Ensure IT assets comply with security and data protection policies.
- Assist in mitigating risks related to IT asset misuse or loss.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, accounting or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or IT operations.
- Experience in software and hardware tracking, IT inventory management, and procurement.
- Experience with cloud asset management and SaaS licensing.
- Knowledge of IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, SCCM, Lansweeper, Ivanti).
